Tibshelf Village Hall

Tibshelf Village Hall was built in 1957 on land gifted to the members of Tibshelf Old Peoples Club from the Tibshelf Cooperative Society Limited. In 1994, the Tibshelf Village Hall Management Committee was set up and granted Charitable Status (number 1040224).

The Village Hall was modernised and extended throughout 2002/2003 and its facilities include a large Main Hall – which has benefited from a new floor in April 2024, new chairs in May 2024, decorating in July 2024 and a new kitchen in February 2025 – a well-stocked bar, a well-equipped kitchen, WiFi and toilets that include disabled access. At the rear of the Village Hall, there is a small garden and council storage room. We also have a large free car park.

The Village Hall is used every week by many local groups and party bookings, and is a much-valued community asset that continues to thrive and increase in popularity.

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you for everything. We hired the Hall for my daughter’s 18th birthday and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The Hall was perfect for the celebration and we all had such a fantastic time.

I also really wanted to give a special mention to the bar staff who were working that evening. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish, so friendly, welcoming, helpful and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and their lovely attitude really helped make the evening even more enjoyable.

It makes such a difference having people there who are so helpful and approachable, and I really appreciated everything they did for us. They were a credit to the Hall and deserve to know how much their hard work and kindness were appreciated.

We had an absolutely brilliant time and would happily recommend Tibshelf Village Hall to anyone looking for somewhere to hold a celebration.
